An elderly driver on the way to see his doctor crashes in a work zone which is a busy four way intersection. The contractor saves money by hiring only one officer and does none of the required traffic control planning resulting in the officer tragically losing his life. A bridge construction project manager closes off the gradual right turn access to the bridge. This was done with no warning or planning for approaching drivers. Coming out of a curve in the road, a driver suddenly sees the closed right turn. She attempts a dangerous sharp right turn just beyond the closed access, loses control and crashes into the officer. This driver suddenly turns left across the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The driver tells the police the motorcyclist must have been speeding as he never saw him. Firefighter Injured In Attic Fire Caused By Insulation Contractor

Some fires aren’t accidents. An insulation contractor fails inspection for half of its residential blown in insulation installation jobs, some of which created a fire hazard in the attic. Regardless, the energy savings company continues to assign new jobs to the contractor. The insulation contractor leaves another fire hazard behind in this attic. Fortunately the family gets out of the house in time but the firefighter who responds is injured fighting the fire in the confined space of the attic. We then proved this fire was no accident.

Passenger Injured When Farm Utility Vehicle Crashes Into A Tree

Farm owners make their off-road utility vehicle available to their guests during their annual party, to ride off and explore the far reaches of the farm. A teenage guest is in the passenger seat and fractures his hip when another young guest loses control and crashes into a tree. Everyone initially blames the young driver for showing off. After the officer directs the work truck with trailer to enter the work zone, the officer returns to his position to direct approaching traffic away and around the work zone. Without warning, the truck operator backs up basically driving blind into the back of the officer pinning his leg underneath the trailer bumper and wrenching his back as he bangs on the trailer to stop.
